Advent Tree

The Advent Tree Ministry is a giving ministry that provides Christmas gifts for some of the less fortunate members of our community.  We send out letters in September to various agencies, nursing homes and an apartment complex asking for wish lists for Christmas gifts.  Our team meets in early November to make the tags that we hang on the Advent Trees before Thanksgiving.  Members of our parish choose tags, buy the requested gifts, and return the wrapped packages to the Gathering Area.  Our team meets again in December to sort and pack the gifts for delivery.  All members of the parish are invited to help us hang the tags on the trees in November and help sort and pack gifts in December. 
This ministry is headed by Mary Yarborough with much help from her family and friends.
